MOBILE AND WORKSHOP SERIES OPERATION MANUAL
October 2018 | Version: v1-0
The machine should be cleaned and lubricated every eight (8) operation hours. Retract the dies to lubricate.
Use a small brush to lubricate the cone shaped surfaces in the cylinder. Better to lubricate sparingly and more often
than seldom and excessively. Without lubrication, the machine looses power and you will damage the sliding surfaces.
•
Lubricate the inner surface of the conical flanges—minimum daily with the RYCO recommended grease.
•
Apply the grease at the front and rear of the dies with a small brush.
•
Lubricate often with a small amount of grease rather than seldom with a lot of grease.
•
Do not grease the piston rod.
Lubrication/Greasing
1.
Empty the tank of oil through plug in the tank.
2.
Handle the waste oil according to law.
3.
Fill the tank to center line of the oil level sight glass.
4.
RY20C & RY32C Oil tank capacity: 4 litres (1.1 US gallon)
5.
RY20CB & RY32CB Oil tank capacity : 40 litres (10.6 US gallon)
6.
Recommended oil : RYCO Hydraulic Oil 46.
7.
Change hydraulic oil after the first 500 hours of operation and every 1000 hours thereafter.
8.
If any oil spills, clean it up immediately with a RYCO Spill Kit.
Oil Change
Master die springs are wearing parts and therefore have to be replaced after every 100,000 crimps. To replace the springs special
tools and experience is needed. In order to get the master die springs replaced contact your RYCO representative.

MAINTENANCE
HOW TO MAINTAIN YOUR CRIMPER
Cleaning
Keep the machine clean and free from dirt particles. A clean machine ensures a smooth and safe operation.
Wipe the machine with a dry cloth or with soft paper. Do not use water, solvents or abrasives.
The inner side of the crimping head can be cleaned with a small brush.
To keep the accuracy and maintaining the machine in good condition, regular machine maintenance and inspection is important.
Any maintenance carried out prior to isolating the POWER state can be dangerous, only qualified personnel should carry out
maintenance jobs. If the power is not needed for maintenance, the main circuit breaker should be turned off (refer to manual
operation).
All electrical maintenance should only be carried out by qualified personnel.
Return cylinders on both sides of the crimping head produce the piston movement backwards and simultaneous
retraction of dies. Hydraulic pipes to the two cylinders are high-pressure pipes (275 bar). To prevent leakage, be careful not to
damage these pipes and their connectors. In case you notice leakage in a connector, make sure it is properly tightened. Leaking
pipes must be replaced immediately.
DO NOT REPAIR PIPES!

Warning: Do not use the machine if there are broken or twisted springs in the machine.
Broken or twisted springs can damage the machine or cause personal injuries.
Never use compressed air to clean the crimping head.
Prior to any servicing operation, disconnect the power and lock the device.
Before changing the motor circuit breaker or under voltage trip, disconnect the plug or supply cable from the mains!
