Operation
6.1 Using your fireplace for the first time
Remove all the documents and accessories from the
fireplace.
Read these instructions carefully before using the fire-
place for the first time.
Complete the warranty certificate and send it in to
Rüegg!
When using for the first time, operate at low heat for the
first few hours. You can then gradually add more wood
in three or so stages up to the maximum load as stated
on page 13.
During the first couple of fires of your installation, some
unpleasant odours may appear caused by the evapora-
tion of some binding agents in the paint.
Please open all windows near to the fireplace to ae-
rate the room!
When the fireplace is heating up or cooling down, the
materials will expand or contract and may produce
cracking noises , which by their nature cannot be
avoided.
The engineers of Rüegg AG make every possible effort
to reduce emissions to a minimum by means of targeted
measures.

ings, rendering etc.).
