6.1.2. Preset menu level M2
Pressing the SET (LOUD) key twice for more than 2 seconds starts LED
M2 blinking and release of the SET key than calls the preset menu level
M2. This is indicated by LED M2.
S1 (MEMO):
The use of this button presets the peakmeter to
calibration
mode 0 dB
. The unit enters calibration mode after leaving the preset
menu level M2 by the use of the SET key. Calibration mode is indicated
by the Cal LED. The bargraph display will now read 0 dB in the center. The
display range is +/- 5 dB. This mode is used for peakmeter reference level
adjustments. This mode is terminated by the use of the SET key.
Please note:
Adaption of the input level to 0 dB display should be made
by the input sensitivity adjustment (S3 key) of preset menu level M2. If
the range of the input sensitivity adjustment does not allow adaption to
your application a reference level change of the peakmeter may be
necessary.
S2 (GAIN):
The use of this button presets the peakmeter to
calibration
mode -9 dB
. The unit enters calibration mode after leaving the preset
menu level M2 by the use of the SET key. Calibration mode is indicated
by the Cal LED. The bargraph display will now read -9 dB in the center.
The display range is +/- 5 dB. This mode is used for peakmeter reference
level adjustments. This mode is terminated by the use of the SET key.
Please note:
Adaption of the input level to 0 dB display should be made
by the input sensitivity adjustment (S3 key) of preset menu level M2. If
the range of the input sensitivity adjustment does not allow adaption to
your application a reference level change of the peakmeter may be
necessary.
S3 (RESET):
Input sensitivity
can be set after pressing S3 key by the
use of the NEXT (PHOLD) key. The upper bargraph display reads the
selected value. Display and setting can be varied in a range from -18 dB
(boost) to + 2 dB (attenuate). This is referenced to the internal reference
setting of the peakmeter. The standard setting for the internal level is 0 dB
with a +6 dBu input signal and input sensitivity setting to 0 dB.
Pressing the SET button at any time exits the preset mode and saves all
settings in memory.
