How to Replace the Washer
With use, the washer (
Fig. 31
) on the stapler will wear
out and need to be replaced. The stock # of the washer for
both
NS10
and
NS11
is
NS10/P18
. Order Lubricant
Syringe (
AS65
) also.
AS65
will be used in the following
steps.
1. Unscrew the two bolts at the stapler nose area and
one towards the back of the stapler (
Fig. 32
).
To remove the screw towards the back of the stapler,
use a wrench to keep the nut from spinning (
Fig. 33
).
2. Remove the spacer
(1)
and magazine/nose assembly
(2)
(
Fig. 34
).
3. Remove the old washer. Make sure the new washer
is clean, free of any debris or cracks. Apply lubricant
grease (
AS65
) around the outer edge of the new
washer (
Fig. 35
). Place the new washer on the
stapler and make sure the washer is properly
inserted, the slot in the washer is parallel to the slot in
the stapler (Fig. 36), and the washer will not impinge
on the free movement of the piston.
4. Place the spacer, and the magazine/nose assembly
onto the stapler as shown. The two surfaces of
NS10
spacer are different. The surface with ridge should
face out (
Fig. 37
). Please note, the spacer should be
placed up against the stapler body and the screw
holes on the spacer should align perfectly with those
on the stapler body (
Fig. 37 & 38
). If not (
Fig. 39
),
turn the spacer around and they should align up now.
Insert and tighten all the bolts (
Fig. 40
).
