Introduction To Engine Tuning

Factory Carburetor Settings

The engine can be further tuned from the 
factory settings to optimize performance 
under various conditions, if you lose track of 
the engine settings, please revert back to the 
factory carburetor settings (see next page) 
before making adjustments: Please make 

sure that the small vent in the Fuel Tank Cap 
is open and air filter is clean, as it will affect 
engine performance and tuning. The carburetor 
needle is very sensitive. Adjusting the needle 
even 1/16 of a turn is a significant change. Be 
careful when making adjustments.
