Upgrading the Software
The BAP can be upgraded in the field via DashBoard.
To upgrade the software on the BAP
1. Contact Ross Technical Support for the latest software version file.
2. Ensure the Ethernet cable is connected to the
Gb1
port on the BAP.
3. From the
Tree View
in DashBoard, expand the node for the BAP you want to access.
4. Right-click the
Global
sub-node.
5. Click
Open
.
6. Select
Upload
, located near the bottom of the interface, to display the
Select file Upload
dialog.
7. Navigate to the
*.bin
file you want to upload.
8. Click
Open
.
9. Click
Next >
to display the
Select Destination
menu. This menu provides a list of the
compatible units.
10. Select the check box for the BAP you want to upload the file to.
11. Verify the BAP you want to upload the file to.
The
Error/Warning
fields indicate any errors, such as incompatible software or product type
mismatch.
12. Click
Finish
.
13. Monitor the upgrade.
• An
Upload Status
dialog enables you to monitor the upgrade process.
• The BAP is temporarily taken off-line during the upgrade process.
• The process is complete once the status indicators for the
Card State
and
Connection
return
to their previous status.
14. Once upgrade is complete and the
Upload Status
dialog closes, you must manually reboot the
BAP.
a. From the
Tree View
in DashBoard, expand the node for the BAP you upgraded.
b. Right-click the
Global
sub-node.
c. Click
Open
.
d. Click
Reboot
. This button is located at the bottom of the Global tab.
