4. Coatings
The PTFE non-stick coating is perfect for eggs and pastries, as
well as any food that tends to stick and is very easy to clean.
Temperature resistance (e.g., ProPlex, ProResist): up to 260 °C
PTFE-coated cookware is not suitable for caramelising or
flambéing.
The ceramic coating is particularly suited for food that needs to
be seared at high temperatures, e.g. steaks and fried potatoes.
Temperature resistance (e.g. ProCera): up to 400 °C
3
If used as intended, the non-stick coating will not peel or
chip off. If any particles of the coating do somehow get
swallowed, they arenot toxic and will be passed harmlessly.
3
Do not use pointed or sharp objects to stir anything in the
cookware item. Normal signs of use, such as light scratches
will not affect the cookware’s performance.
3
At temperatures above its smoke point, a cooking oil/fat will
burn very quickly, turn dark and leave a scorched residue on
the surface of the pan. This residue cannot be completely
removed and will affect the non-stick properties of the pan.
Be careful when using highly heatable cooking oil/fat, and
mind the heat setting of the hob.
