System Status
4.1 Monitoring System Status Using SAM
You should monitor your system regularly to ensure that the Galaxy 65 Subsystem, disk drives, and
arrays are working properly. The Galaxy 65 Subsystem and SAM let you monitor the status several ways:
• Remote notification (see

4.2 Setting Up Remote Notification
Remote notification lets you receive information about specific Galaxy 65 Subsystem events by e-mail.
You can select the types of events and up to four e-mail addresses. You can view the current settings by
selecting
Manage Galaxy 65 Subsystem > Remote Configuration
.
Remote notification requires that you set up two items:
• Events to be monitored
• E-mail addresses to send events to

By category
–
By specific event
• E-mail addresses to send events to
