Memory module:
If you wish to change the pre-installed memory
module, a separately purchased module must be installed. (See
Section
5.3
)

BBU:
If you wish to install a BBU, the BBU must be purchased
separately and installed prior to powering on the subsystem. (See
Section 2.8
.

Rack-mounting:
The enclosure chassis can be installed into a rack
cabinet using separately purchased mounting rails, rear-attached
brackets, or use

Please disconnect two (2) power cords from AC outlets before servicing
or cleaning. DO NOT use liquid or sprayed detergent for cleaning. Use
a slightly moistened clothe for cleaning.
4.
Rack-mounting the GALAXY RAID subsystem – The subsystem is
intended to be rack-mounted, following concerns should be heeded
when mounting the subsystem into a rack cabinet.
a.
“The subsystem is designed to operate in an environment
where the maximum ambient temperature must not exceed
40
°
C, and 3540
°
C when BBU is applied”
b.
“The openings on the enclosure are for air circulation and
hence the ventilation openings should never be obstructed.”
c.
“Proper grounding, over-current protection, and stability
features should be provided with the rack cabinet into which
this subsystem is mounted.”
d.
“This equipment must be connected to reliable earthing before
using. Particular attention should be given to supply
connections other than direct connections to the branch circuit
(e.g., use of power strips.)”
