Cleaning and maintenance
• Always unplug the appliance before cleaning!
• Never immerse base unit, power cord and plug in water or clean them
under running water!
• Attention: Hazard of injury! Do not touch the blade! Handle cutting
tools with care to avoid injuries!
Quick cleaning during work
• For a swift cleaning of the glass jar and the blade between several mixing runs, the unit features an automatic
Clean function.
• To make use of this function, fill the empty glass jar with some water and a drop of dishwashing detergent then
firmly close the top cover.
• By a short activation of the PULSE/CLEAN button, the cleaning process gets started. The instructions under point
„Operating the appliance” must be adhered too.
• Then pour out the wash water and rinse the jar with clear water.
Thorough cleaning after work
• Clean the appliance immediately after use so that residues will not dry up.
• Highly pigmented food (e. g. carrots) may stain the appliance’s plastic parts or accessories. Wipe those parts with
some cooking oil before cleaning them.
• The following parts are suitable for cleaning in the dishwasher:
- glass jar (7)
- top cover with filling hole (14)
- small measuring cup (13)
• The following parts are not suitable for cleaning in the dishwasher:
- base unit (1) with power cord and plug (6)
- blade unit with 4-winged stainless steel blade (11)
- rubber gasket (12)
• Remove all detachable parts from the base unit.
• Clean the base unit with a moist cloth and wipe it dry.
• Clean all other parts in hot water with some dishwashing detergent or if suitable in the dishwasher.
• Clean the blade unit in hot water with some dishwashing detergent and a cleaning brush.
• Do not use any abrasives and solvents or sharp objects!
• Never use a steam jet appliance for cleaning the appliance or the accessories!
• Remove stalks, pits and peels from the food. Before processing, cut large food into suitable pieces.
• The higher the speed and the longer the table blender is switched on, the more intensive is the blending process
and the smoother is the result.
