Safety advices on the usage of the appliance
• During operation, do not use any object to stir in the glass jar
and never touch the running blade. To avoid injuries it is
imperative to keep your hair, hands and clothes away from the
running blade!
• The appliance has a delayed motor stop after it has been
switched off; therefore please wait until it has stopped before
removing the cover!
• The jar is made of glass and thus, it is fragile. Handle the glass
jar with care to avoid breakage of glass and splinters!
• Be careful when processing liquids. Liquids may spout during
operation. There is the hazard of burns with hot liquids!
• Hot liquids of more than 60 °C must not be processed!
• Place the appliance on a stable and even surface and do not operate it in the
vicinity of sources of heat (oven, gas flame etc.) or in explosive environments
where inflammable liquids or gases are located.
• Prior to switching the appliance on make sure that …
… the appliance is assembled correctly. This applies especially for the
rubber gasket – it must always be placed.
… on the blade unit before the blade unit is screwed together with the
glass jar.
… the blade unit is tightly screwed together with the glass jar
… the cover is firmly placed on the glass jar and the small measuring cup
sticks correctly in the cover.
• In order to avoid spilling over, the glass jar may be filled with max. 1.5 l. This
applies especially when working with high speed.
• When processing hot (max. 60 °C) and foaming liquids, the glass jar should be
filled with max. 1.2 l to avoid possible spilling over.
• In case the blade is blocked, switch off the appliance immediately and pull the
power plug. Remove the blocking ingredients only afterwards.
• Do not at all operate this unit with an external timer or a separate telecontrol
system.
• Avoid any no-load operation and do not handle it with hands wet.
