LEF-12/20 UV4 Ink Switching Method
Preparation before Operations
STEP 1 : Verifying Items to Be Used
The following items are used for the operations in this manual. Verify that you have all the items before beginning.
Items included with printer
Cleaning sticks
Cleaning liquid
* You must prepare the replacement ink yourself.
STEP 2 : Checking the Necessary Files
The firmware and updater downloaded from http://www.rolanddg.com/euv4/ are necessary for the operations in this manual.
Check that the following files are present.
Firmware
(in the "Firmware" folder)
VersaWorks updater
(in the "Roland VersaWorks local updater" folder)
LEF-12
LEF12Firm230.exe
LocalUpdater.exe (Ver. 5.4.0 or later)
LEF-20
LEF20Firm200.exe

STEP 3 : Writing a Memo with the VersaWorks Settings
Important
As the final step when you switch the ink, update VersaWorks(Hereinafter called
VersaWorks) to a version that supports EUV4
ink. After the update, because the printer that has been switched to EUV4 ink will be connected as a new printer, the previous
job data and settings will be deleted. Write down the IP address and the settings of the connected printer such as "Quality."
