6. MIC1/GUITAR Function Indicator
This indicates whether the MIC1/GUITAR Input Jack is functioning as a micro-
phone input, or as a guitar input. By pressing the MIC1/GUITAR Input Volume
knob, you can switch between a microphone input and guitar input.
Microphone input:
extinguished
Guitar input:
lit
When the power is turned on, this will be lit (Guitar input).
7. Effect Type Selector
This knob selects the type of preset effect.
The UA-100 contains four preset effects. In general, they are controlled from the
computer using the UA-100 Controller, but you can also use this Effect Type
Selector to make general settings for the effect.
If you wish to control the effects from the computer, set this to the
PC
setting.

8. Effect Controllers 1/2, 3/4
These knobs adjust the effect parameters selected by the Effect Type Selector. The
effect parameters assigned to each knob will depend on the effect type.
The effect parameter adjustment knobs will not function if the Effect Type
Selector is set to
PC
or
BYPASS
.

9. Line Output Volume
This adjusts the volume that is output from the Headphones Jack and from the
Line Output Jacks located on the rear panel.
Rotating the knob counterclockwise will decrease the volume, and rotating it
clockwise will increase the volume. However, for some settings of the
UA-100
Controller
and of the Effect Type Selector, the signal from the line input jacks will
be output directly, and it will not be possible to adjust the volume of this signal.
10. Output Level Indicator
The number of LEDs that light will depend on the output level from the
Headphones Jack and from the Line Output Jacks located on the rear panel. If the
red LED lights, please use the Line Output Volume control to lower the volume.
11. Power Indicator
Lights when the power is turned on.
12. Power Switch
Press the Power Switch to turn the power on/off.
13. Headphones Jack
A set of headphones can be connected here. Even when headphones are connect-
ed, sound will still be output from the rear panel Line Output Jacks.
