Wash hands thoroughly with soap and 

water.

Wipe the entire surface of the lancing 

device and the inside of the cap with 

an approved cleaning and disinfecting 

product. Make sure that no liquid enters 

any opening.

3 

Remove and wipe the inside of the cap

4 

Dry the lancing device and cap with a soft 

cloth or gauze. Make sure no solution is 

seen in any opening. 

5 

For disinfecting the lancing device, get a 

new wipe or cloth. Repeat steps 2 and 3 

for disinfecting.
