Battery power & recharging
Your Trac‐It unit has a small internal battery that (if fully charged) will last for up to 30 days, without it
being connected to a power supply (i.e. an external battery). This is suitable for short term use and
only when the unit is armed for movement alerts, thus not in journey mode. If Trac‐It is used in
‘Journey Mode’ without it being connected to a power supply, the charge in the battery will decrease
at an accelerated rate, and will only last for a few days at best.
When connected to a battery / power supply, the Trac‐It unit will draw 5 to 8 milliamps of power. This
should not affect the operation or charge of you’re external battery, providing the battery is in correct
working order.
If the charge in the internal battery is low, you will receive an alert by email and/or SMS text message
(please note if your Trac‐It subscription is not valid you will not receive any warnings).
