1. Recovery of a stolen item
1.1. Please note that Trac‐It is a product designed to alert you by SMS text message and/or
email if an item fitted with Trac‐It is moving, when the system is ‘armed’. A Secure
Operating Centre (also referred to as security response call centre) will be available to
monitor the movements of stolen items fitted with Trac‐It, however accept no liability if
recovery cannot be achieved or if damage occurs. No liability will be accepted by Road
Angel Group to recover a stolen or lost item fitted with Trac‐It, nor will Road Angel Group
be liable to reimburse the owner should the item not be recovered, or if it is damaged.
1.2. Road Angel will not undertake checks to ensure that your Trac‐It unit is able to receive
alerts since the alerts may be prevented or compromised by a number of reasons beyond
Road Angel's control (such as incorrect installation and tampering) and due to the number
of units in operation making it impracticable for Road Angel to do so. Road Angel
advises you to regularly check that, when your Trac‐It unit is 'armed', movement of the
tracked item results in an alert to you by SMS text message and/or e‐mail. Such regular
checks will ensure that any problems, whatever their cause, in respect of your unit or in the
provision of alerts to your unit are discovered at the earliest available opportunity. Road
Angel takes no responsibility if your Trac‐It unit does not receive alerts or if the Trac‐It unit
has been installed incorrectly or tampered with, resulting in malfunctioning and/or theft of
a tracked item.Subscribers must not attempt to recover a stolen item fitted with Trac‐It.
