Viewing & updating your contact details
It is vital that you have the correct contact details saved in your Trac‐It portal, as these details will be
used to send you an alert if a theft occurs.
Once you have successfully logged into your Trac‐It portal, you will be presented with a map that
covers the whole screen. On the map there will be an icon representing your tracked item(s) – hover
your mouse cursor over this icon to bring up the information box for that item.
Click on ‘Edit’ beside the ‘Contacts’ heading (number 18 as outlined on the Trac‐It portal overview
above). This will launch a pop‐up that will let you add, delete and edit your contact details (you can
also have more than one contact). You also have the option here of choosing how you would like to
be alerted if your Trac‐It system is triggered (SMS text message, email or both). Figure 1.2 shows the
Contact List pop‐up.
Changed your contact details? Please make sure you update them on your Trac‐It portal!
Please make sure that if you change your mobile phone number (and it is listed as the main
mobile contact number on your Trac‐It portal) that you change it on your Trac‐It portal;
otherwise you will not be able to arm or disarm Trac‐It or receive SMS text alerts. Please also
ensure your email address is up‐to‐date, otherwise you will not receive alerts by email.
