Generally, no electrical connections are necessary when the tur-
bine meter is used strictly as a flow indicator.
However, assignments are possible; the pin assignments of the TME400 are shown
in in
Figure 5: Connection assignment of the TME400 . If, for example, the TME400 is
to be used as a "flow sensor", the current must be connected to 4..20 mA ( terminal
block X9 ). The 4..20 mA current is then connected to the two terminals. For this
function, the optional current module must be plugged in at the top left (see Figure 4:
Electronics with cover of the calibration button ).
The "sensor" TME400 is passive, it is fed and limits the current to the corresponding
value. With this use, the current serves as an additional current supply (see
chapter
1.3.3 Power supply ). Here, care must be taken to ensure that this power supply is
galvanically isolated.
