7.3 Important information on installation and commissioning
•
No additional holes may be made in the electric cylinder.
•
The electric cylinder is not to be used outdoors.
•
The electric cylinder must be protected against the ingress of moisture.
•
When fixing, ensure that the system surfaces lie completely flat and the required fixing screws
are screwed in and tightened.
•
With an overhead installation of the electric cylinder, fixed loads must be secured against
falling down.
•
The electric cylinder must not be moved to "Block". Risk of mechanical damage.
•
The electric cylinder must not be opened.
•
The user must ensure that there is no danger when the mains plug is inserted.
•
When switching the electric cylinder with electrical connector "b", take particular care that
the generator short-circuit brake is selected for switching the motor. Otherwise, the electric
cylinder may run to "block" and be destroyed. (See Chapter 7.4.2)
•
When designing linear adjustments etc., take care to avoid crushing and shear points. These
are to be protected appropriately.
•
Automatic start-up of the electric cylinder due to a fault must be stopped immediately by
pulling out the mains plug.
•
If a power supply cable and/or feed line is damaged, the electric cylinder is to be taken out of
service immediately.
•
RK Rose+Krieger GmbH does not accept any guarantees when the customer uses his own
electric circuitry, with the exception of the limit switch.
It is essential that you note and observe the following instructions. Otherwise persons
could be injured or the electric cylinder or other components could be damaged.
