Macro Keys
Programming Macro Keys
LightSYS2 enables the engineer or grand master to record a series of keystrokes and assign
them to a macro. When the macro is invoked, the recorded commands are executed from
beginning to end. Up to four macros can be programmed to a system using the LightSYS2
keypad or the LightSYS2 Configuration Software.
Notes:
The default function for all function keys is group setting, as described
on page 23. If group setting is used, this option is not available.
Macros cannot be programmed to perform unsetting commands.
Before programming a function key, it is recommended to note the keystroke sequence.
These keys will be entered in the form of characters in step 5 (below) of the procedure for
programming the macro key.
For example, to set partitions 1 and 2 in a 3-partitioned system, you would press the
following keys in step 5: [Code]
This example requires the following sequence of characters:

To program a Macro:
1.

the 1,2,3 or 5 key for five seconds).
