Serial reader RS
The RS readers are to be connected directly to the serial RS485 and allow to make the operations of
arming/disarming of the area to which they are associated.
Thanks to recognition of the reader on which we are operating, it is possible to make, with a correct
configuration, various operations.
Installation of the readers
• Mod RS can be connected in parallel on the same
serial door RS485
• Shielded 4 wires x 0,50 mm cable is suggested
• Total length of connection cable can be 600 meters
and must be shared among all boards connected
• The output of positive supplying of the serial door
RS485 is protected by delayed fuse F3 0,63A 250V
Technical Features RS
Addressing
To address the readers, position dip-switches according to the chart
If the installation has more than
one arming points and/or
modes, the readers have to be
addressed using the 5-way dip-
switch, placed on the board of
the readers
The address, further to identify
the reader, gives it a specific
function
Please consider that it is not
possible to have more
readers with same address,
otherwise they will stop
working.
In case of wrong address or
change of address, in order to
restore or modify the
functioning of a reader, it is
necessary:
a) to give correct addresses to
readers
b) re-acquire the readers
according to relevant
procedure.
