OPERATION

USING A PHONE/MP3 PLAYER (NOT INCLUDED)
WITH THE JOB-SITE RADIO

See Figure 5, page 12.

  Press the

MODE

 button until the

AUX

 menu is highlighted.

Open the phone storage compartment door by pulling

on the corners of the door.

Place the phone/MP3 player inside the compartment.

Connect one end of a 3.5 mm audio patch cord (maximum

8 in. long) to the device.

Connect the other end of the 3.5 mm patch cord to the

AUX jack.

NOTE:

Make sure that the audio patch cable is positioned

so that it is not pinched if the door is closed.

The phone/MP3 player must be on and in play mode for

sound to be heard through the speakers.

All phone/MP3 player controls can be used normally while

connected to radio.

NOTE:

Volume for any device connected through the

AUX

jack can be adjusted using the volume control for

that device or by using the radio’s volume knob.

Turning the radio off will NOT turn the phone/MP3 player

off.

Press the compartment door until securely closed to

protect against environmental hazards (dust, moisture,
etc.)

NOTE:

Some MP3 players will not fit inside the

compartment, and you will not be able to close the
compartment door.

The AUX jack DOES NOT provide charging function.

For complete operating instructions for the connected

device, always refer to the manual that was included with
your device.

USING THE USB-DEDICATED CHARGING
PORT

See figure 5, page 12.

The USB-dedicated charging port charges most devices
that can accept a charge from a USB port. A suitable USB
cable must be provided by the user.
The USB port on the power source supplies a 5 Volt DC,
up to 1 Amp charging site for your cell phone, MP3 player,
or other small (up to 1 Amp) USB device. Simply connect a
USB cable (not provided) from your device to the USB port
on the power source to charge.

NOTE:

The USB-dedicated charging port provides power

only; it does not provide any communication capabilities.

  Connect the USB cable to the USB-dedicated charging

port and the appropriate port on your USB-compatible
device.

  The device should begin charging immediately unless the

radio is in SLEEP MODE. In this case, turn the radio ON
using the ON/OFF/VOLUME knob.

  To protect your device from environmental hazards (dust,

moisture, etc.), place the device in the phone storage
compartment and close the compartment door. The
restraining strap may be used to help secure the device
while in storage.

NOTE:

Some devices will not fit into the storage area. You will

not be able to secure these devices inside the compartment.

When the radio is operating on battery power, the USB-

dedicated charging port will continue to function for
approximately 1 hour after turning the radio OFF. After
this time, the radio will enter SLEEP MODE. You must turn
the radio ON to resume operation of the charging port.
