Notes about LP Gas Tank Exchange Programs

z

Many retailers that sell grills offer you the option of replacing your empty LP gas tank through an

exchange service. Use only those reputable exchange companies that inspect, precision fill, test

and certify their tanks. Exchange your tank only for an OPD safety feature equipped tank as

described in the LP gas tank section of this manual.

z

Always keep new and exchanged LP gas tanks in an upright position during use, transit or storage.

z

Leak test new and exchanged LP gas tanks BEFORE connecting one to your grill.

Testing for gas leak

z

Test all connections for gas leaks before first use, at the beginning of each new season, or when

gas cylinder was changed.

z

Make sure procedure is carried our in well ventilated area and never in a presence of flame, sparks

or heat source. If you smell gas, never attempt to light the grill.

z

Make sure that all temperature knobs on the grill are in the OFF position.

z

Open the gas valve of the gas cylinder and/or the pressure regulator.

z

Test all connections for leaks. For testing use a half water/half soap solution. Apply the solution to

the connection points with a brush.
