Do the following to calibrate the Tracer AV using the
Zero
and
Units
keys:
1. Place the Tracer AV into setup mode.
To enter setup mode, remove the setup switch access screw on the Tracer AV (See
). Once the
screw is removed, use a small screwdriver to press the setup switch. The display changes to show the word
DEFCAL
.
2. Remove all weight from the scale platform. If test weights require hooks or other items, place them on the scale.
3. Press
Zero
to go to
SELECT
.
4. Press
Units
to go to zero calibration (
WZERO
).
5. Press
Zero
to calibrate zero. The indicator displays
*CAL*
while calibration is in progress. When complete, the A/D
count for the zero calibration is displayed.
DO NOT adjust this value after WSPAN has been set!
Press
Zero
again to
save the zero calibration value and go to the next prompt (
WVAL
).
6. With
WVAL
displayed, press
Zero
to show the stored calibration weight. Use the procedure shown in
to enter the actual value of the test weights to be used for the span calibration. Press
Zero
again to store
the entered
WVAL
value and go to span calibration (
WSPAN
).
7. With
WSPAN
displayed, place test weights on the scale and press
Zero
to calibrate span. The indicator displays
*CAL*
while calibration is in progress. When complete, the A/D count for the span calibration is displayed. Press
Zero
again to store the span calibration value.
4.2 Standard Calibration
Do the following to calibrate the Tracer AV using the
Zero
and
Units
keys:
1. Place the Tracer AV into setup mode.
To enter setup mode, remove the setup switch access screw on the Tracer AV (See
). Once the
screw is removed, use a small screwdriver or pen tip to press the setup switch. The display changes to show the word
DEFCAL
.
2. Remove all weight from the scale platform. If test weights require hooks or other items, place them on the scale for
zero calibration.
3. Press
Units
until the display reads
CALIBR
). Press
Zero
to go to zero calibration
(
WZERO
).
4. With
WZERO
displayed, press
Zero
to calibrate zero. The indicator displays
*CAL*
while calibration is in progress.
When complete, the A/D count for the zero calibration is displayed.
DO NOT adjust this value after WSPAN has
been set!
Press
Zero
again to save the zero calibration value and go to the next prompt (
WVAL
).
5. With
WVAL
displayed, press
Zero
to show the stored calibration weight. Use the procedure shown in
to enter the actual value of the test weights to be used for the span calibration. Press
Zero
again to store
the entered
WVAL
value and go to span calibration (
WSPAN
).
6. With
WSPAN
displayed, place test weights on the scale and press
Zero
to calibrate span. The indicator displays
*CAL*
while calibration is in progress. When complete, the A/D count for the span calibration is displayed. Press
Zero
again to store the span calibration value and go to the next prompt (
REZERO
).
7. The rezero function is used to remove a calibration offset when hooks or other items are used to hang the test weights.
• If no other apparatus was used to hang the test weights during calibration, remove the test weights and press
Units
to return to the CALIBR menu.
• If hooks or other items were used during calibration, remove these and the test weights from the scale. With all
weight removed, press
Zero
to rezero the scale. This function adjusts the zero and span calibration values. The
indicator displays
*CAL*
while the zero and span calibrations are adjusted. When complete, the adjusted A/D count
for the zero calibration is displayed. Press
Zero
to save the value, then press
Units
to return to the CALIBR
menu.
8. Press
Units
until the display reads
CONFIG
, and the display will exit the setup mode.
