10.1.4 Using the XE Serial Command
The XE serial command can be used to remotely query the
820i
for the error conditions shown on the front panel. The XE
command returns a decimal number representing any existing error conditions. For multi-scale applications, the value returned
by the XE command represents all error conditions, if any, present on all configured scales.
If more than one error condition exists, the number returned is the sum of the values representing the error conditions (see
Table 10-3). For example, if both a tare error (TAREERR, 65536) and a truck database checksum error (ETRUCKERR, 8192)
have occurred, the XE command returns the value 73728, representing the sum of those two error conditions.
