The saw motor automatically shuts off when the trigger is released. You will need to press the lock button and
squeeze the trigger to restart the engine.
NOTE:
The system stops briefly after turning off the power.
4.8- Lubrication of the chain and guide-chain
Proper lubrication of the chain during cutting operations is essential to minimize friction with the guide bar.
Your chainsaw is equipped with an automatic greasing system. The lubricator automatically delivers the
correct amount of oil to the bar and chain. The oil tank level can be checked in the oil inspection window (A)
on the right side of the saw (Fig. 7).
Fig. 7
CAUTION: Never deprive the bar and chain of lubricating oil. Running the saw dry or with very
little oil will reduce cutting efficiency, shorten the life of the chain saw and cause rapid chain tarnishing
and excessive wear of the bar due to overheating. The smoke or the discoloration of the bars testify to it.
NOTE:
The saw chain stretches during use, especially when it is new, and occasional adjustment will be
required. A new chain requires more frequent adjustments during the break-in period. It's normal. See Saw
Chain Voltage Adjustment Instructions.
4.9- Chain brake and handguards
CAUTION: An unsecured chain may jump off the bar while you cut and carry the bar and chain.
A too tight chain can damage the saw. In either case, chain too loose or too tight, you may be seriously
injured.
The chain saw is equipped with a chain brake / hand guard that stops a moving chain in milliseconds, which
helps reduce the risk of recoil, a quick upward movement of the guide that occurs when the chain is on the nose
