In case of visible deterioration (cracks, tears, etc.), it is necessary
to eliminate and replace the damaged mask component.
•
Do not leave the components of the mask unattended, some of
these may be swallowed by children.
•
It is recommended to wash the mask before the first use.
•
Contact your dealer as a healthcare professional in case of
functional problems, size problems or for any doubt concerning
the medical device application.
Any serious incident that has occurred in relation to the device should
be reported to the manufacturer and the competent authority of the
Member State in which the user and/or patient is established.
2 - MASK COMPONENTS (Section A)
a) cushion; b) mask body; c) elbow fitting; d) swivel fitting; e)
headgear; f) buckle.
3 - MASK FITTING (Section B)
• For the first installation, first of all remove cushion (a) from its
transparent bag and then attach it to the mask frame (b) by
coupling initially the upper part of the cushion to the superior tooth
of the frame, then put the fingers and push in order to attach also
the inferior part of the cushion to the frame (B.1).
• Keep the mask in one hand and with the other hand pull the
headgear (e) over and behind the head (B.2).
• Connect the two lower straps of the headgear (e) to the hooks.
Ensure the lower straps pass below the ears (B.3).
• Gently tighten the straps to ensure stability of the mask according
to the sequence of B.4.
• Connect the swivel (d) to the device tubing and then switch on the
device at the prescribed pressure (B.5).
• Lie down and, if necessary, readjust the forehead straps (B.6).
4 - MASK USE
To disassemble, wash and assemble the mask correctly, see the
illustrations in Sections C - D - E.
PRECAUTIONS
•
Do not remove the mask without first disconnecting the lower
headgear straps (e).
•
Wash the headgear (e) and buckle (f) every week.
•
Be very careful to remove any dirt from the exhalation holes in
the elbow fitting (c).
•
Dry the mask components in the air away from direct sunlight.
•
Do not clean the mask with solutions containing alcohol,
aromatic compounds, humidifiers, antibacterial agents,hydrating
agents or aromatic oils as they would damage the product and
reduce its life.
•
Do not clean the mask in the dishwasher.
•
Check carefully all the components to make sure there are no
soap deposits or foreign bodies inside the mask.
5 - REGENERATION OF THE MASK FOR REUSE ON DIFFERENT
PATIENTS
Notes:
The mask should always be regenerated before being used on a new
patient.
- The headgear (e) must be replaced.
The mask can be regenerated for up to 20 cycles by one of the
following processes:
• thermal disinfection at a high level;
• chemical disinfection at a high level;
