2.2 Overview of safety devices
This section provides an overview of the major compressor el-
ements and their functions.
The following safety devices are fitted to the outside of the
compressor:
Item Description Function
1 Emergency stop Stops compressor immediately in
emergency
2 E-box door Guard door on switch box.
To be opened by qualified electri-
cians only Access to the pressure
switch and the electrical components.
CAUTION: Danger to life! Electrical
voltage!
3 Instrumentation
panel
Start / stop – switch, Emergency
stop, operating temperature dis-
play, operating excess pressure
display, operating hour meter
4 Doors (front and
rear) Access to the air filter, motor, drive
belt, relief valve.
