a) Installation
• Put the antenna on a flat surface.
• After start-up, it may be necessary to alter the antenna’s position or alignment a little to achieve
an optimal reception.
b) Wall mounting
• Look for a suitable place for mounting which offers better reception. Test the reception before
drilling the mounting holes.
• Mark the drilling holes on the mounting surface (distance between holes: 136 mm). Use a spirit
level to align the holes horizontally.
• Drill the mounting holes and insert suitable wall plugs depending on the material of the wall.
• Screw two screws into the wall plugs or into the mounting surface and leave the screw head
protrude approx. 3 mm from the mounting surface.
• Hang the antenna at the two screws with the hanging installation at the bottom plate.
Connection
The antenna can be operated with 12 V direct voltage (e.g. in caravans or weekend houses) or
with 230 V mains voltage.
Connect the antenna line of the antenna only to the antenna inputs of corresponding
receivers.
As a power supply, only a mains socket of the public supply grid or (when using the 12
V low-voltage socket) a power source with 12 V direct current output must be used.
The antenna may not be supplied with 12 V and with mains voltage at the same time.
Always connect only one type of voltage supply at a time. Connecting the device to a
12 V and a mains voltage supply simultaneously can damage it.
Be careful when handling mains cables and mains connectors. Mains voltage may
cause fatal electric shocks.
Make sure that the voltage indicated on the antenna corresponds with the mains volt-
age of your power supplier. Never try to operate the antenna with any other mains
voltage.
When making the connections, make sure that the connecting cables cannot be
pinched or damaged by sharp edges.
The mains socket to which the antenna is connected must be near the device and
easily accessible, so that the device can be quickly isolated from the mains power
supply in the event of any fault.
• Insert the antenna connection cable (7) into the appropriate antenna connection of your TV,
DVB-T or radio reception device (coaxial input 75 Ohm). If the aerial is to be connected to a radio
device, a corresponding coaxial adapter is required (not included in the scope of delivery)..
• An external antenna signal can be added (e.g., for cable or satellite reception) using the con-
nection socket for an external antenna (6).

Mains voltage supply
Plug the mains plug of the power cable (4) into a mains socket (230 V/50 Hz).

Supply through 12 V
Insert corresponding plug (5mm outer contact / 2.1 mm inside contact) into the 12V low-voltage
socket (5). Observe the correct polarity (inner contact is plus, outer contact is minus), since the
device could otherwise be damaged. The 12 V supply has to be able to supply at least 100 mA of
current to operate the antenna.
Getting started and operation
• Switch on the antenna. To do this, turn the on/off switch/gain control (1) on the front of the
antenna in clockwise direction. A short click can be heard. The power indicator (8) will light up.
Turn the on/off switch/gain control (1) until it has reached the middle position.
• Pull out the two VHF/FM telescopic antennas (3) to their full length. Now align the VHF/FM tel-
escopic antennas (3) and the oval UHF antenna (2) in such a manner that the best reception is
achieved.
• Set the amplification of the antenna using the on/off switch/gain control (1). Turn the control
clockwise until you get the best possible reception.
• Keep in mind that the reception can deteriorate if the gain is set too high. The receiver is over-
loaded in this case. In this case, decrease the gain by turning the on/off switch/gain control (1)
anti-clockwise.
• If you cannot achieve optimum reception in spite of various amplification settings, alter the
position or alignment of the antenna and attempt to improve the reception in this manner.
• To switch off the device, turn the on/off switch/gain control (1) anti-clockwise until you hear a
“click” sound. The operation indicator (8) goes off.
External antenna
• If an external antenna is to be connected (connection jack (6)), this signal is only looped into the
antenna output if the on/off switch/gain control (1) is turned to the minimum position.
• The minimum position is achieved by turning the on/off switch/gain control (1) in anticlockwise
direction before the switch-off click is achieved.
Handling
• Never operate the antenna with damaged housing or missing covers.
• Never use the antenna immediately after it has been brought from a cold room into a warm one.
The condensation that forms might destroy the product. Let it reach room temperature first. Wait
until the condensation has evaporated.
• Never remove the mains plug from the mains socket by pulling on the cable; Always unplug from
the mains socket by means of the gripping area provided for this purpose.
• Always disconnect the power plug from the mains socket, when the device is not in use.
• For safety reasons always unplug the mains plug from the socket during a thunderstorm.
Maintenance and care
Before cleaning the product, disconnect it from the power supply (unplug the mains
plug from the mains socket or disconnect 12 V direct current supply!).
Make sure that the inside of the device does not get wet or damp.
The antenna is maintenance-free; therefore, never open the housing. If you do open it, the warran-
ty will be rendered null and void.
Periodically check the technical safety of the device for damage. If the device is damaged, stop
operation and secure it against unintended use.
The outside of the casing should be cleaned only with a dry, soft cloth or brush. Never use aggres-
sive cleansing agents or chemical solutions, since they might damage the surface of the housing.
Disposal
Electronic devices are recyclable and must not be disposed of in household waste!
Please dispose of the product, when it is no longer of use, according to the current
statutory requirements.
