4. Meaning of symbols
The symbol with the lightning in the triangle is used if there is a risk to your health, e.g. due to
an electric shock.
The exclamation mark indicates specific risks associated with handling, function and use.
The “arrow” symbol indicates special tips and operating information.
The product must only be installed and used in dry, enclosed indoor areas. The product must
not become damp or wet, as this creates the risk of a fatal electric shock!
This symbol indicates that this product is built according to protection class II. It is equipped
with reinforced or dual insulation between the mains circuit and the output voltage.
The device was constructed according to protection class III. Protection class III includes
electrical products with a low voltage power supply (< 50 Volts) using a safety transformer
or batteries/rechargeable batteries/solar power etc. Products in protection class III have no
connection for protective insulation - they must not be connected to the protective earth.
This symbol indicates that a safety transformer is built into the product according to the
VDE 0551 guidelines.
Independent converter. The converter is designed to operate lights without additional covers
or safety measures.
This symbol reminds you to read the operating instructions included with the product.
