4 Startup
The unit must be stored at room temperature for at least 3 hours before startup.
Do not apply force to the unit during unpacking, setup, operation, or maintenance.
4.1 Unpacking and setup

Select a setup location where the printer is not exposed to direct sunlight or drafts.
⇒ Place the shipping box on a flat surface on the floor. Ensure that you have enough
space available�
⇒ Open the shipping box. It contains three boxes:
-Unit
-Cover
- Accessories box
⇒
Remove the three boxes.
⇒
Carefully open the box with the unit.
⇒ Remove the foam insert.
⇒ Carefully remove the accessories box provided. It protects the extruder during transport. This box con -
tains the accessories for the SIMPLEX 3D filament printer.
⇒
Lift the SIMPLEX 3D filament printer out of the shipping box by gripping the insides of the frame.
Please note the weight of the printer and ask a second person to assist you if necessary.
When removing, be careful not to touch the extruder and the electronics.
T he SIMPLEX 3D filament printer is not suitable for setup in the treatment room.
⇒ Place the SIMPLEX 3D filament printer on a stable and level surface with sufficient space around the
unit�
Do not cover the ventilation openings on the rear of the unit
⇒
Ensure that the on/off switch and power cord are easily accessible.
⇒ Using the wire cutters, remove the two cable ties that secure the print bed�
Caution: Do not damage the Kapton film!
⇒
Remove the door, which is located under the print bed.
⇒ Carefully open the box with the cover so as not to damage the contents.
⇒ Remove the cover and set it aside carefully for subsequent assembly.
