Verify Low Oil Pressure Switch Operation
The ThermoJet Oil Purifier must be running and operating normally in order to perform this maintenance
task. Verifying the operation of the low oil pressure switch is to insure that the oil heater turns OFF and is
disabled when the oil pressure drops below 135 PSI (9.3 BAR).
The low oil pressure switch is mounted on the right side of the electrical control enclosure. It is wired in
series with the oil heater control circuit so that the oil heater is inoperable if the oil pressure drops below
135 PSI (9.3 BAR). For additional information refer to the wiring diagram included in the section of this
manual titled
IX PARTS LIST / DRAWINGS / SCHEMATICS.
While the ThermoJet is operating normally, open the top cover of the ThermoJet cabinet to access the inlet
pressure control valve located on the outlet of the heater vessel. While observing the Filter Outlet Pressure
gauge, loosen the lock nut and adjust the control valve by turning the adjusting screw CC-Clockwise to
decrease the oil pressure. Decrease the pressure to a value that is less than the low oil pressure set point
of 9.3 BAR ± 0.3 BAR (135 PSI ± 5 PSI).
