Symbol 1: Electric shock
An electric shock can be fatal. Touching live parts can cause serious shocks or burns. Ensure that
all parts are connected correctly and that the earth connection is correct. Ensure that there is always
insulation between your body and the workpiece and avoid any contact of live parts with bare hands.
Wear dry, insulating protective clothing during welding and never operate the machine with the
housing open.
Symbol 2:Welding spatter
Welding spatter can cause fire and explosions. Do not weld near flammable materials or on
containers containing flammable material.
Symbol 3: Arc of light
Arcs pose a particular danger to the eyes and skin. Always wear a welding helmet with a suitable
welding filter and appropriate protective clothing such as welding gloves during welding.
Symbol 4: Fumes and gases
Welding produces fumes and gases that are hazardous to health. Try to keep your head as far away
from the fumes as possible during welding. Provide adequate ventilation, exhaust or a breathing air
supply to keep them out of the air you breathe.
