GENERAL OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
Read this manual carefully before operating and keep it at an easily accessible place for future
reference. If needed, the manual can be downloaded in pdf format from http://www.regulus.eu/, or
obtained from the company and printed. If you have any doubts or uncertainties, please contact your
equipment supplier or technical support of Regulus.
SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

The design, location, hydraulic and electrical connections must be designed by a specialist in
accordance with the applicable regulations.

The equipment has been designed for heating or cooling of heating water. Other uses, unless
specifically authorised by the manufacturer, is not permitted. Heating water or a mixture of
water with glycol or glycerine based antifreeze may be used as a heat transfer medium.

The heat pump shall be securely earthed.

Respect the operating limits of the equipment.

The device is designed for outdoor installation. However, avoid installation in areas with
excessive dust or humidity - such as near the hood outlet, etc.

The appliance must be located in an open area where there is no obstruction to the flow of
intake or exhaust air.

The appliance must not be located near open flames or sources of ignition.
-
The equipment shall not be operated in an environment with explosive or chemically
aggressive gases and substances.

All work must be carried out by professional and qualified staff.

When handling the heat pump with a crane or other lifting equipment, make sure that the
lifting devices, lugs, etc. are not damaged. Never step under the lifted load.

Wear personal protective equipment (goggles, gloves, etc.)

The equipment cannot be used by children and persons with reduced physical, sensory or
mental abilities, or by untrained persons who lack the necessary knowledge.

Ensure that the heat pump is switched off before any intervention.

It is forbidden to carry out maintenance or cleaning when the equipment is live.

It is forbidden to touch the equipment barefoot or with wet body parts.
-
Do not spray water or other liquids on the equipment.

The equipment contains rapidly rotating parts. Therefore, do not push any objects into the
device.

The heat exchanger lamellas are sharp and can cause injury.

Some parts of the equipment (e.g. the compressor and its outlet pipes) may be very hot even
after stopping operation.

It is forbidden to stand on the device, sit on it or place objects on it.
-
It is forbidden to pull, twist or disconnect the electrical cables connected to the equipment.
-
Never disassemble casing, covers, etc. that are bolted together.
-
Never disable safety features of the equipment.

Do not interfere with the refrigerant circuit or electrical wiring. Service work must only be
carried out by an authorised service organisation.

A damaged power cable may only be replaced by an authorized service organization.
-
It is forbidden to leave the packaging material within reach of children, as this may pose a
danger to them.
-
It is forbidden to tamper with or replace any parts of the equipment without the express
permission of the manufacturer.
-
If these instructions are not followed during installation, operation and maintenance of the
system, the manufacturer does not feel bound by the terms of the warranty.
