5.7. Fault conditions and their possible causes
Compressor overcurrent
If the input current is too high or the system is overloaded, the compressor will shut down. The
device will restart 5 minutes after the first alarm. If the alarm repeats 3 times in a row, the unit will
shut down.
Check:
•
device power consumption
•
technical condition of the fan
•
clogging of the finned and plate heat exchangers
•
heating water temperature and flow and return temperature difference
Protection of IPM module
Compressor speed control error.
Check:
•
compressor inverter board
•
whether cables are interrupted or loose
•
technical condition of the compressor
Compressor lubrication
If the unit is operated at low compressor speed for a long time, the unit will increase the speed to
get more oil into the compressor. This is a normal condition that does not require any intervention.
High/low refrigerant pressure
If the refrigerant pressure is too high or low, the compressor will stop. The device will restart
5 minutes after the first alarm. If the alarm repeats 3 times in a row, the unit will shut down.
Check:
•
technical condition of the fan and circulation pump
•
cleanliness of the finned and plate heat exchangers
•
heating water temperature and flow and return temperature difference
Reduction of compressor speed at high refrigerant condensation pressure
If the refrigerant pressure is too high, the compressor will reduce the speed. The device will return
to normal operation 5 minutes after the first alarm. If the alarm repeats 3 times in a row, the unit will
shut down.
Check:
•
technical condition of the fan and circulation pump
•
cleanliness of the finned and plate heat exchangers
•
heating water temperature and flow and return temperature difference
Compressor warm-up
If the compressor has not been running for a long time or if the outdoor temperature is too low, the
compressor heater will switch on. This is a normal condition that does not require any intervention.
