b) Mounting the Wing Servos
Before cutting out the foil at the servo holders, we recommend that the wings be ironed again in this area.
Find the servo shaft covers at the bottom of the wing in the area of the
wing centre. Cut out this area carefully with a cutter knife.
The longitudinal slots for the rods must be cut into the servo shaft covers
as well (arrows in figure 2).
Create suitable extension cables for the aileron servos. For reasons of
safety, we recommend soldering the servo cables to the extension ones
(instead of using plugged extension cables).
Insert the extended servo cables into the servo shaft and out at the
bottom of the wing again by the rib (figure 1, item 4).
Then you can install the servos in the servo holders of the servo shaft
covers and attach the rudder horns at a right angle.
For this, two hard-wood blocks from the delivery must be glued onto
the servo shaft covers so that the servo rudder horn protrudes centrally
from the longitudinal slots.
The servos are attached to the hard-wood blocks with matching screws
from the servo delivery (figure 2, item 1).
The servo shaft covers are screwed on with four grub screws
1,5 x 6 mm later after completion of all work (figure 2, item 2).
c) Mounting the Rudder Horns to the Ailerons
Sketch the installation site of the rudder horn at the ailerons measured in a straight line from the servo rudder horn. Drill the corresponding holes with a matching
drill. The rudder horns may now be installed to the ailerons with screws M1.5 x 20 mm and the counter-plate. Protruding screws on the ailerons must be
shortened.
To prevent breaking out of the drilled holes, slowly drill in at a right angle and with a hard wood base as a counterbearing. For best results, we
recommend drilling with 0.1 mm below the size.
d) Mounting the Aileron Linkage
Create the matching linkage rods with the rods from the construction
kit and connect them to the servo rudder horns.
