5. Scope of Delivery
Before you start assembly, check the parts for the scope of delivery of your model.
Main components:
• Fuselage with canopy
• Left and right wings
• Tail unit
• Fin
• Motor cowl
• Main landing gear, tail spur, wheel covers, wheels
• Small parts like screws and linkage parts
• Decal sheet
• Operating instructions
The following components not included in delivery are required for assembly and operation:
Assembly:
Soldering gun, cutter knife, screwdriver, 30-minute epoxy resin, possibly thixotropic agents (micro-balloon or cotton flock) for thickening the resin, threadlocker
varnish, super glue and sand paper.
Attention!
Observe the safety information of the respective manufacturer when using glues and work with glues in well-ventilated rooms only.
Operation:
Flying requires a suitable (computer) remote control system with at least 5 channels. If the model is equipped with an electric motor, you need the matching
speed controller for this motor, a propeller and a propeller tappet, a LiPo rechargeable battery 6S / 4000 mAh (discharge rate at least 30C) and 4 servos (2x
aileron of 9 g class with at least 20 Ncm thrust, 1x elevator and 1x standard-size rudder with at least 35 Ncm thrust).
If the model is equipped with a combustion engine, use a throttle servo with at least 30 Ncm thrust, a 2-cycle combustion motor with a stroke of 6.5 - 8.5 ccm (or
a 4-cycle combustion engine with a displacement of 10 - 15 ccm), a propeller matching the engine and a suitable fuelling system (tank, hoses, filters, etc.).
Practical advice:
For a model like the “Flamingo”, we recommend use of a state-of-the-art 2.4 GHz computer remote control system with mixing functions. In this case, you have
the option of putting every servo to a separate receiver output to thus set every servo individually.
