c) Programming the gyro
Please observe the enclosed operating instructions for the gyro.
d) Installing the antenna wire
The antenna wire (1) of the receiver must be installed in
such a way that it ensures the maximum reception and
cannot get tangled up in the rotating parts of the
helicopter's mechanics.
It is best to fix the antenna wire hanging from the antenna
tube to the side of the stabiliser (2) with a small piece of
adhesive tape. The remaining part is then fed back onto
the other side of the stabiliser (2).
e) Checking the pre-installed mechanics
Important!
Before you operate the model for the first time, you need
to check that all the screw fittings on the model are tight.
The attachment screws of the main and rear rotor blades
may only be tightened to such an extent that the rotor
blades can automatically align themselves in flight at an
exact 180° angle.
Practical tip:
Tighten the rotor blade to the point that the blade no longer
moves downwards of its own accord when you tip the
helicopter to a 90° angle on its side; the main rotor blades
should be situated lengthwise above the tail tube or above
the cabin hood.
All moving parts have to be easily movable but there should
not be clearance in the bearing.
Apply some oil on the main rotor shaft in the range of the
swash plate (1) and on the tail rotor shaft in the range of
the sliding sleeve (2).
