Setting the differentials
The model's differentials are filled with grease. The viscosity of the grease blocks the differential, which is suitable for most terrains and conditions.
By exchanging the grease with high-viscosity silicone differential oil, the blocking effect can be modified. The higher the viscosity, the higher is the blocking
effect.
• If the model swerves in bends under load, you can loosen the rear differential or lock the front differential.
• If the model understeers under load, lock the rear differential or loosen the front differential.
You can select between silicone oil with a viscosity of 1000 (small blocking effect) to 50000 (high blocking effect).
Caution! Only experienced model pilots who know their models and have adequate technical skills for demounting and disassembling the differentials
should exchange the transmission grease.
Setting the toe-in of the rear wheels
To set the toe-in of the rear wheels, the toe-in block has to be exchanged.
Pull the E rings from the axles of the lower transverse links. If you exchange the toe-in block with another one with a greater hole spacing, the transverse links
are no longer parallel to the longitudinal axis of the vehicle but at an angle.
The toe angle of the rear wheels changes accordingly.
Ackermann effect
To adjust the progressivity of the steering angle of the wheel inside the curve (Ackermann steer angle), the steering links can be reset
to other steering points both at the steering arms and at the steering plate.
Mechanical lowering
For lowering the chassis, it is possible to mechanically limit the rebounding travel. To do so, one screw each can be screwed in from the top into the bottom
transverse links, supporting against the chassis.
Damping
To further optimize the damping characteristics, we offer silicon oil for the shock absorbers in different viscosities as an accessory. Our product range also
includes tuning springs of various hardness values.
