Reassembly
Reassemble the crankcase and crankshaft as follows:
WARNING!
The crankcase halves are hot. Risk for
burns. Use protective gloves.
1. If bearings are to be fi tted, proceed as follows:
A. Heat the relevant crankcase half to 200°
in an oven.
B. Using protective gloves, take out the crankcase
half and push home the bearing.
NOTE!
Ensure that no dirt or foreign particles enter
the bearings.

Refi t the rubber stop (A). See fi g. 9.
E.
Refi t the oil fi ller cap.
2. If replacement crankcase seals are to be fitted,
grease the seal surfaces and tap them home using
tools 502 52 20-01 and 502 52 21-01. See fi g. 10.
The seals can also be fi tted with the crankshaft in place.
NOTE!
Ensure that the connecting rod does not jam
against the crankcase when the crankcase
and crankshaft are reassembled.
NOTE!
The crankshaft should be fi tted into the
clutch half of the crankcase fi rst.
3. Use tool 502 50 30-14 and pull the crankshaft into
the clutch half of the crankcase. See fi g. 11. Pull until
the crankshaft shoulder mates with the bearing.
