Step 18: Remove the waste toner
Carefully turn the cartridge over so the waste toner
hopper hole is facing down
. Rock the cartridge
back-and-forth to allow the toner to fall onto the
ReChargX™
work surface protector (figure 18-1).
Since the waste toner hopper can get quite full during
the print cycle, you will need to repeatedly rock the
cartridge back-and-forth to get as much toner out of
the waste toner hopper as possible.
Set the cartridge back onto your work surface and
fold the newsprint over itself, locking the waste toner
in the center, for easy disposal.
Step 19: Clean the waste hopper opening
After emptying the majority of the waste toner from
the waste toner hopper, use the orange toner grabber
cloth to clean the outside of the waste toner hopper to
ensure the ReChargX™ leak-proof seal will adhere
securely to the cartridge surface (figure 19-1).
Step 20: Apply the ReChargX™ leak-proof seal
Remove one of the ReChargX™ leak-proof seals
from the protective backing (figure 20-1).
