Install the AED Sentinel Monitoring Hardware
Place the AED
Place the AED back in the cabinet with the status indicator at the top, facing out of the
cabinet. Be careful not to snag the AED Sentinel cables.
Install the camera
1.
Confirm the camera’s position.
Make sure the camera is mounted on the AED cabinet
door mounting system rails with the camera properly positioned to monitor your
AED’s status indicator.
2.
Rotate the camera on the mounting system, if necessary.
AED Sentinel’s camera
can be installed with the lens in a down or up position on the AED cabinet door
mounting system rails. When you first open the box, the lens is in the down
position. For the camera to work in the down position, your AED’s status indicator
must be 3
1/2”
(8.9 cm) or more from the top of the AED cabinet door. Depending
on the size of your AED and AED cabinet, you may need to flip the camera so it
properly captures your AED’s status indicator.
If the status indicator is less than 3
1/2”
from the top of the AED cabinet door,
flip the camera around. Slide the camera on its rails until it is centered midway
between the top and bottom mounting blocks.
Gently
pry the camera out of the
rails, turn it lens-side up, and snap it back onto the rails. Make sure the camera will
point inside the cabinet and not out through the cabinet window.
AED Sentinel works regardless of whether your camera lens is in the up or down
position. If the camera for this AED is flipped to the UP position, check the box
on the Add or Edit Monitored AED page in AED Sentinel Manager to ensure
monitoring images are displayed correctly.
