How to Find the TV’s
Video Input Channel
You need to tune your TV to its video line input “channel” if
you are using the VCR’s Audio/Video OUT jacks to connect to
the TV’s Audio/Video IN jacks. You must select this line input
before the VCR’s menus, the cable or antenna reception, or
the tape’s content can be seen.
The line input channel on TVs varies by brand and model.
Below are some steps to take to find various TV video line
inputs.
•
If the TV is an RCA, GE, or Proscan brand, press the TV
button on the VCR’s remote control, then press INPUT.
•
If you have another brand of TV, consult this manual’s
Remote Control section to see if the VCR’s remote
control can be set to operate the TV. Once
programmed, the VCR’s remote should activate the TV’s
video input channel by pressing the INPUT button.
If those options do not work, see the table below for ideas
on finding a TV’s input channel including:
•
pressing a button on the TV’s remote control or front
panel
•
selecting the channel from the TV’s menu system
•
tuning directly to the channel by selecting a specific
channel number
•
going through all the channels in the channel list by
pressing the channel buttons on the TV.
