Open Water Anchoring
We highly recommend the use of the RAVE Sports Anchor Connecting Kit
(RAVE P/N 01024).
NOTE: There is an anchor ring located on the bottom
side of every Splash Trax module. Anchor to multiple
points in open water situations to provide adequate
anchoring and to prevent damage to the products.
If anchoring a small configuration in a straight line, minimally
use one anchor system at each end of the track. Larger configurations and
more complex orientations will need more anchoring as described above.
Take extra care on large installations, especially on windy bodies of water.
Provide NO slack in the anchor line. Let the shock cord of the Anchor
Connecting Kit absorb the vertical movement of the
product on the water.
Professionally installed ground screws or heavy
weights at each anchoring location may be used
depending upon your specific conditions. Consult an
expert if unsure.
Typically the anchors/weights are connected to each other using a chain
and then connected to the anchor connector kit while on the beach and
then moved to the anchor placement point as a group on top of a flotation
device.
Remove the product from the water if strong winds are expected.
