2. Loosen the 2 nuts of the retaining spring with a socket wrench (size 8 mm).
Remove the retaining spring and unhook the thermocouple.
3. Unplug the thermocouple from the I/O board.
4. Disconnect the thermocouple cable from the harness or leave it disconnec-
ted in the unit.

The thermocouples have been removed.
Installing thermocouples
A torque wrench (4 Nm) is ready for use.

The pan is raised.

The bottom of the pan cover has been removed.
1. Perform the following steps for the appropriate thermocouple.
2. Connect the cable to the I/O board.
3. Guide the cable through the pan axis.
4. Hang the thermocouple in the retaining spring.
5. Tighten the 2 nuts of the retaining spring with a torque of 4 Nm.
6. Fasten the cable together with the other cables with a temperature-resist-
ant cable tie.

The thermocouples have been installed.
Close the electrical compartment
1. Proceed in reverse order to the step Opening the electrical compartment.
