Connect
one
end
of
the
Cat5
UTP
cable
to
the
RJ45
port
of
the
CIM
being
attached
to
the
second
‐
tier
MCCAT
unit;
connect
the
other
end
of
the
cable
to
one
of
the
channel
ports
of
the
first
‐
tier
MCCAT
unit.

Connect
one
end
of
the
power
cord
to
the
power
jack
of
the
MCCAT
unit
and
the
other
end
to
the
appropriate
power
outlet.
5.
If
you
want
to
connect
more
second
‐
tier
MCCAT
units
to
the
first
‐
tier
MCCAT
unit,
repeat
Steps
1
to
4.
6.
Power
ON
the
second
‐
tier
devices
first.
After
hearing
the
beep
sounds
of
the
second
‐
tier
devices,
power
ON
the
first
‐
tier
device.
Note:
Make
sure
you
follow
the
above
power
‐
on
sequence;
otherwise,
the
first
‐
tier
device
may
show
incorrect
channel
status.
