Checking play on dead man handle
The amount of play on the dead man handle is 3 to 5 mm and should be checked every
month.
Refer to chap. 7.6 for details of how to adjust play on the dead man handle

Setting off and stopping
Driving forwards
Slowly turn the travel drive rotary grip from 0 position to the right until the desired travel
speed is reached.
Reversing
If the travel drive rotary grip is turned to the left from 0 position, the machine moves
backwards.
Stopping
The machine is stopped by turning the travel drive rotary grip slowly back to 0 position.

Coupling and uncoupling attachments
Coupling
• Clean the connection flange of the machine and attachment.
• Grease the teeth of the PTO shaft and connecting piece.
• Open the attachment lock.
• Push the attachment into the machine connecting piece.
• Close the attachment lock.
• Move the attachment or the machine until the attachment lock engages.
Uncoupling
• Secure the machine against rolling away.
• Open the attachment lock and uncouple the attachment.
• Close the attachment lock.
3 - 5 mm
Note
If there is not enough play, the machine's braking performance is not guaranteed.
Caution
For safety reasons, the machine must not be operated if the dead man handle has
insufficient play.
Warning
The machine may suddenly trap the user or third persons, cause them to fall over or run
them over.
• Coupling and uncoupling may cause hand injuries, wear safety gloves.
• After coupling attachments, check whether the attachment locking bolt is engaged and
the attachment is connected to the machine.
Danger
The machine may suddenly trap the user or third persons, cause them to fall over or run
them over, crush or lacerate them.
• Attachments may only be coupled and uncoupled when the engine is turned off.
