8 ADJUSTMENTS
8.3 61 MARQUIS: HEIGHT OF CUT ADJUSTMENT__________________________
To set the height of cut, set the position of the front
roll. Adjust the front roll with handwheel [C].
To increase the height of cut, lower the front roll,
turn [C] to the right side. To decrease the height of
cut, lift the front roll, turn [C] to the left side.
Check the height of cut. Tilt the machine backward
and put a straight edge across the front [D] and rear
[B] rolls. The gap [A] between the bottom blade
cutting surface and the straight edge must not be
less than 6 mm (

in).
Check the setting at both ends of the bottom blade.
NOTE : The bottom blade must be set at a minimum of 6 mm. from the turf. Damage to the machine will
occur if the bottom blade is set at less than 6 mm. T
8.4 SUPER CERTES SUPER BOWL: HEIGHT OF CUT ADJUSTMENT _________
The height of cut is set by the position of the front
roll in relation to the bottom blade.
1. Loosen the screw [D], found on each side of
the machine.
2. To increase the height of cut, lower the front
roll, turn [A] to the right side. To decrease the
height of cut, lift the front roll, turn [A] to the left
side. Make sure that the setting is the same at
both sides of the machine. Tighten the screw [D].
NOTE : Do not change the hexagon spacer and
locknut during this operation.
3. Make sure that the height of cut is set within the permitted range. Tilt the machine backward, put a
straight edge across the front and rear rolls. The bottom blade and the straight-edge gap must not be
less than 5 mm (

in) in dry conditions and 6 mm (

/
4
in) in wet conditions.
Check the setting at both ends of the bottom blade. A 3 mm (1/8in) height of cut is available with an
optional bottom blade, and is correct only for high-quality turf.
NOTE : The bottom blade must be set at a minimum of 6 mm. from the turf. Damage to the machine will
occur if the bottom blade is set at less than 6 mm
WARNING
Turn petrol tap to the “OFF” position before you
tilt the machine.
