To install a USB device
1. Connect the USB device to the R&S VTE. You can connect a USB device dur-
ing operation because all USB devices are Plug and Play.
Windows
7 automatically searches for a suitable device driver.
2. If Windows 7 does not find a suitable driver, it prompts you to specify a direc-
tory that contains the driver software. If the driver software is on a CD-ROM,
connect a USB
CD–ROM drive to the R&S VTE before proceeding.
To uninstall a USB device
► Disconnect the USB device from the R&S VTE at any time convenient.
Windows 7 immediately detects the change in the hardware configuration and
deactivates the corresponding driver.
4.6.1 External Keyboard
Connect the keyboard to one of the USB interfaces (type A). The default lan-
guage setting is for a UK keyboard. You can change the language and modify
other settings such as the repetition rate in Windows
