6.2.2.7 Selecting
the
Setting High Sensitivity
Use
By setting SET HIGH SENS, you can change several settings in the device in
order to increase the input and measurement sensitivity of the analyzer in
comparison to the normal setting. This function is helpful when you want to
measure weak antenna signals with the analyzer.
SET HIGH SENS influences the following settings in the R&S FS300:
Sets the
reference level
(REF LEVEL, 6-88) to -10 dBm (if RF ATTEN
was set to AUTO, the analyzer switches to MANUAL).
Sets the
input attenuation
(RF ATTEN, 6-93) to 0 dB (if RES BW was
set to MANUAL, the analyzer switches to AUTO).
Activates the
coupling
(RBW/SPAN LOW NOISE, 6-126)
Selecting the Setting
High Sensitivity

Press the
function key
in the
menu
.
The setting RBW/SPAN LOW NOISE is indicated by the letters LN next
to the RBW display.
NOTE
You can switch the input attenuation of the analyzer to 0 dB by means of SET
HIGH SENS. To ensure that the R&S FS300 is not overdriven, the level at the
analyzer input must not exceed the reference level that has been set. ( 6-
88).
